Konopiště

The castle of Konopiště was founded by Bishop Tobiáš of Benešov as a Gothic fortress derived from the French type of medieval castles at the end of the 13th century. As time passed, many noble families came and went at Konopiště.

Křivoklát Castle

Křivoklát is one of the oldest and most important castles of Bohemian princes and kings. Dating to the 12th century, the huge royal castle was constructed during the reign of Přemysl Otakar II, was substantially rebuilt by Wenceslas (Václav).

Hluboká nad Vltavou

Hluboká nad Vltavou is a monumental Romantic chateau; originally a Gothic castle, it was remodeled in the Baroque style during the first half of the 18th century. It underwent a significant transformation in the 19th century.
